The post office was built in the year 1940 to cater to the postal needs of Paharpur and its surrounding areas. In British India this village was not well connected. Nearest post office was at Sagra which was 4 km from paharpur.It was difficult for the people of Paharpur to send and receive mail. This post office provides prompt communication facility to the people.This post office is still functioning well.
